This level of care is recommended for patients who require intensive and comprehensive rehabilitation or skilled nursing care post-operatively.

The Sub-Acute Rehabilitation unit meets the medical needs of sub-acute level patients who require physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy services. The treatment plans for patients requiring this level of care are specific to each patient and injury and are directed at restoring, enhancing or supporting the patient’s highest level of function.  The expected outcome is to return these patients home with the ability to participate in the activities or life style they previously enjoyed.  These services are provided in conjunction with 24- hour skilled nursing care to achieve optimal outcomes. Therapy and nursing services are available for patients recovering from physical or neurological trauma, cardiovascular surgeries or conditions, or orthopedic surgery or reconstruction with complications.
